About the Marko Marcinko Latin Jazz Quintet
Features Paul Rostock bass, Bill Washer guitar,Tom Hamilton saxophone/flute,Robert Velez congas and Marko Marcinko drums/percussion.
With individual histories within the latin jazz tradition, members of the MMLJQ have had the opportunity to tour and perform alongside jazz legends and Grammy award winning performers such as: Tito Puente, Machito, Arturo Sandoval, Maynard Ferguson, Gato Barbieri, Chico O’Farrell, Charlie Sepulveda, Stevie Wonder and Paquito D’Rivera.
Each member of the band brings a unique background and eclectic taste for music. From studies in classic jazz to decades of experience performing Afro & Latin inspired world beat styles, the five-member band brings a high energy and upbeat tempo rich with the genre’s cultural and historical roots.
